About

Empowering researchers to practise responsible science

Responsible Science is a practical resource hub for researchers who want to conduct science with integrity, care, openness, and social responsibility. The site brings together short guidelines, expert insights, podcast conversations, and curated open access resources to support good research practice across the research cycle. It is designed especially for scientists, research students, EMCRs, and interdisciplinary teams working in complex and fast-moving research environments, where questions of ethics, data, collaboration, communication, public trust, and societal impact are part of everyday scientific work.

This website is funded by the ARC Centre of Excellence in Quantum Biotechnology (QUBIC).

Mission

This platform offers practical and accessible guidelines, grounded in research excellence, for researchers working at the frontiers of science. Whether you are designing studies, conducting experiments, analysing data, or translating research into industrial use, these resources support sound scientific judgement in complex and rapidly changing environments. We also explore key issues in depth through dialogue with leading international experts. While grounded in the Australian research landscape, our work is informed by, and contributes to, the global community pursuing responsible science.

Vision

Our vision is a scientific community where integrity, openness, care, and social responsibility are embedded in how research is imagined, designed, conducted, communicated, and applied.
